Student Council will be collecting food for the annual local food drive. It will be a family competition for points and each member of the winning family will receive a dress down day. All non-perishable food items must be brought to Holy Trinity Catholic High School beginning Monday, November 8, through Thursday, November 18. Tables will be set up in the hallways by families. Student Council will be counting all food donations on November 18. All food collected will be delivered on Friday, November 19.
Please bring 5 pound bags (or smaller) of items that are sold by the pound.
Do not bring 50lb. bags as the food items are given to families. Do not bring cases of water, as water is not on the list of items needed. Some of the needed items are: Canned Meats, Tuna, Chili, Stew, Chicken, Canned Vegetables, Sugar, Corn Meal, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Cereals, Flour, Baby Food, Peanut Butter, Dry Beans, Flour, Rice.
If you would prefer to donate cash, each dollar is equal to 2.5 pounds of food ($5 = 12.5lbs, $10 = 25lbs). Please bring money to Ms. Newman in room 117.
Tables will be placed in the hallway for the items by the beginning of the week. We are asking that students bring food items according to the following breakdown:
Aidan -- RED items (packaging included), canned meats, sugar, and dry beans
Columba -- GREEN items (packaging included), canned vegetables, baby food, and jars of sauces
Finnian --BLUE items (packaging included), cereals, flour, and peanut butter
Killian -- YELLOW items (packaging included), pasta, cornmeal, and rice
